Autumn and winter site planning

Drainage & groundworks Cork

Preparing a garden, farm or building site ahead of wet weather? Pick equipment based on access, ground bearing capacity, soil volume and the job itself—not the season alone.

Garden drainage

Confirm where water will discharge, locate underground services, plan spoil storage and assess soft ground before choosing a compact digger.

Farm tracks and drainage

Check wet-ground access, gradients and any buried pipes or cables. A 3 or 5 tonne digger may suit open ground but transport and suitability must be confirmed.

Extensions and site preparation

Mark the working area, measure machine and lorry access, identify service routes and choose where excavated material will go.

Digger and dumper pairing

A dumper can reduce idle excavation time when the spoil pile is away from the trench. Check dumper routes and ground conditions independently.

Which machines can we quote?

The advertised fleet includes 1, 1.6, 3 and 5 tonne diggers, plus a compact wheeled site dumper. Wet, steep or particularly soft ground may make a machine unsuitable. Kieran must confirm the actual model and site conditions before dispatch.

Before you book

  • Provide an Eircode and a safe delivery/unloading point.
  • Measure the narrowest access and note slopes or soft areas.
  • Identify and mark known underground services. Arrange appropriate locating/safety procedures.
  • Describe the trench, cut, spoil volume and where excavated material will be placed.
  • Ask for the machine rate, VAT and separate transport costs in one confirmed quote.

Need a confirmed rate, delivery time or operator? Send the job details and Kieran will confirm the best machine for the site.
